Sustainability at Epsilon Carbon

Energy circular economy

100% of the electricity required in the plant comes from a 17MW captive power plant which runs on recovered hot gases from the carbon black manufacturing, reducing the carbon footprint, fossil fuel dependency and making energy circular. 

Air emissions control

The sourcing of eco-conscious coal tar as raw material containing only 0.3%–0.5% sulfur (compared to the usual 3%) and real-time monitoring significantly reduce SOx and NOx emissions, keeping air quality consistently below legal limits.

Raw material circular economy

Use of steel by-product Coal tar is reused as raw materials, closes the production loop, reducing waste, and optimizing resources without compromising quality.

Social responsibility

Epsilon Carbon has planted over 50,000 trees to offset emissions and improve air quality, while supporting health, education, and infrastructure programs that has benefitted more than 100,000 people in the community.
