At Emsa Tecnología Química, we continue to advance in our commitment to sustainability and emissions reduction. After registering in Phase 1 (Calculation) of the Carbon Footprint, Offsetting and CO₂ Absorption Projects Registry of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), we have now reached Phase 2: Reduction.
This distinction certifies that Emsa not only calculates its carbon footprint in accordance with MITECO’s official criteria, but also implements effective measures to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. The calculation includes Scope 1 and 2 emissions only, following MITECO’s official methodology.
The Carbon Footprint Registry identifies organizations that act responsibly in the fight against climate change and recognizes those, like Emsa, that move towards a more efficient and sustainable management of their processes.
This new milestone reflects our commitment to the environmental pillar of the We Care plan, focused on minimizing environmental impact and actively contributing to the decarbonization of the chemical sector.
