Phosphonates

Description

Phosphonates are a family of compounds derived from phosphonic acid (H2PHO3) that offer different applications in the chemical industry.

At Emsa Tecnología Química we have the following range of phosphonates: HEDP, EDTMP, DTPMP, ATMP, HDTMP and PBTC.

Applications and uses

Detergency and home care: Thanks to their chelating action, phosphonates are mainly used as sequestering agents in the formulation of detergents and cleaning products.

Textile and paper industry: In this case, phosphonates are mainly used as stabilizers of bleaching agents.

Water treatment: As anti-caking agents, they prevent sedimentation and help to avoid corrosion in the surface treatment of metals and in desalination and cooling waters.
