The year 2022 marks a significant milestone in Emsa’s commitment to sustainability. During this period, we have reviewed, organised and defined our actions to move towards more sustainable practices. Our methodology is based on three essential pillars: identification of critical issues through a dual materiality analysis, guidance from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Principles and strategic alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In collaboration with Anthesis Lavola, we have conducted a detailed dual materiality analysis to improve our sustainable management. In addition, we have committed to the 2030 Agenda, adopting the UN SDGs.
At Emsa we are firmly committed to making a positive impact on the people and sectors in which we operate. Through our “We Care” purpose, which represents our essence, we link our corporate culture, values, mission and goals to move towards a sustainable future.
We Care about world | Environmental:
In this section, we highlight our commitment to efficient resource management, circular economy and responsible production and consumption. We work to minimise our environmental impact through sustainable practices, offer raw materials that are responsibly managed and contribute to the preservation of the environment. In addition, we actively participate in the distribution of chemical products that meet sustainable standards.
We Care about people | Social:
Here we address key issues related to our employees and society. We are committed to quality of employment, fair working conditions, benefits for our employees and provide clear product and labelling information. In addition, we focus on health, wellbeing, reducing inequalities and promoting gender equality and diversity.
We Care about innovation | Governance:
In this section, we highlight our economic and financial health, our commitment to digitalisation and our commitment to regulatory compliance. We seek a sound balance between economic progress and corporate responsibility.
In summary, the Sustainability Report 2022 reflects our commitment to sustainability, addressing environmental, social and governance issues. We are committed to a more sustainable future and will continue to improve our practices to contribute to the well-being of the planet and society.
