Sustainability for Emsa remains a journey, not a destination. In 2024, we strengthened our “We Care” strategy, aligning every decision with the purpose of “making committed chemistry more accessible.”
With the 2024 Sustainability Report, we humbly and critically demonstrate how we are making progress in every area: from choosing our suppliers to caring for people’s well-being.
Circular economy
- 9.81 % of the total tonnes sold in 2024 came from circular processes, surpassing our target of 8.74 %.
- The most significant figure was in the Construction sector, where 54.92 % of sales were circular-origin products—an achievement that reinforces our leadership in the sustainable transformation of that industry.
Emissions reduction
- Our carbon footprint per employee fell from 608,502.86 kg CO₂ eq in 2023 to 588,572.68 kg CO₂ eq in 2024.
Governance & responsible supply chain
- During 2024 we reorganized our business into five more compact, strategic divisions.
- We approved and evaluated 100 % of new active raw-material suppliers, ensuring full traceability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- We recorded 0 complaints and 0 incidents of corruption.
Stable employment, training & prevention
- 88% of all contracts are permanent, reflecting our commitment to stable employment.
- Technical training hours per employee rose from 15 h (2023) to 37 h (2024), and safety training (PRL) increased from 2 h to 3 h per employee.
- All of this translates into a safe, healthy workplace: 0 accidents and 0 lost hours for the second consecutive year.
