Bricoflux®: enhancing industrial safety and efficiency

In industrial processes where ammonium chloride is used —such as hot-dip galvanizing, electroplating, or metallurgy— process control, operational safety, and consumption efficiency are key factors. However, the use of ammonium chloride in powder form presents significant limitations in terms of handling, dust generation, and operational stability.

To address these challenges, Emsa Tecnología Química has developed Bricoflux®, a flux designed to optimize production processes and improve working conditions in demanding industrial environments.

What is Bricoflux®?

Bricoflux® is an ammonium chloride-based flux, developed as an advanced technical alternative to conventional ammonium chloride powder. Its format allows for safer, more precise, and homogeneous dosing, promoting greater process stability and reducing product losses and emissions.

Enhanced safety and improved working environment

Bricoflux® directly contributes to improving workplace safety and occupational health by:

  • Significantly reducing airborne dust generation

  • Minimizing inhalation and direct contact risks

  • Enabling safer, cleaner handling

  • Improving housekeeping and cleanliness in the plant

These benefits are particularly relevant in continuous processes or operations with high technical and safety requirements.

Homogeneous dosing and greater process control

Unlike powdered ammonium chloride, Bricoflux® dissolves progressively and uniformly, allowing manufacturers to:

  • Maintain stable bath concentrations

  • Avoid dosing peaks

  • Reduce the need for continuous corrections

  • Improve process repeatability

This performance is especially critical in applications such as hot-dip galvanizing, where bath control directly affects the quality of the final coating.

Reduced emissions, waste, and consumption

The use of Bricoflux® helps optimize process efficiency through:

  • Lower generation of fumes and vapors

  • Reduced operational emissions

  • Decreased formation of dross and residues

  • Improved product utilization

Thanks to its high purity and efficiency, overall consumption can be reduced compared to traditional powdered ammonium chloride, resulting in tangible economic savings.
