Today, we speak with Tania Caldera, the new Product Manager – Performance at Emsa Tecnología Química.
Technical expertise and customer focus in an ever-evolving industry

Tania holds a degree in Chemistry and a Master’s in Industrial Chemistry and Research, with more than 10 years of experience in the chemical sector, including over six years working in technical sales within the detergents and cosmetics industry.
Her profile combines technical knowledge with a strong customer-oriented approach — two key aspects in an environment where every formulation requires precision, adaptability, and a deep understanding of market needs.
In this interview, Tania shares her perspective on the day-to-day realities of the industry, her way of working, and the importance of building relationships based on trust and collaboration.
What attracted you to the company?
What especially attracted me was the company’s close and transparent approach. It’s an environment where communication flows naturally and flexibility is part of the way of working. All of this makes everyday work much easier and allows you to focus on what really matters: delivering value to the customer.
How would you describe your way of working in one sentence?
I would describe myself as organized, solution-oriented, and strongly results-driven, always combining technical expertise with a close relationship with the customer.
What’s the first thing you say when someone asks what you do?
I usually explain it in a simple way: I work in the sales of chemical products and ingredients for detergent and cosmetics manufacturers. But in reality, it goes beyond that — it’s about understanding each customer’s needs and helping them find the best solution.
What tool or habit is essential in your daily routine?
Daily planning is key for me, as well as continuously following up with customers and opportunities. Prioritizing tasks properly and maintaining constant communication allows me to provide quick and effective responses, which is essential in everyday work.
What do you value most about the team you work with?
What I value most is collaboration and trust. Having a team you can rely on, share information with, and solve situations quickly together makes a huge difference — both in terms of results and the working environment.
Do you have any hobbies or activities that help you disconnect from work?
Sport is an important part of my routine, especially climbing and running. I also try to spend quality time with family and friends. It’s the best way to disconnect, find balance, and come back with energy to take on new challenges.
Is there a book, movie, or series you would recommend to the team?
I’d recommend light-hearted series like The Office or Friends. They’re perfect for switching off after an intense day and changing the pace a little.
We will continue sharing new voices from our team, because we believe that committed chemistry starts with people.
